Time to continue the old....?

Was researching stuff for my upcoming March trip when I chance upon a saying on a traveler's blog.

"The photos in my hdd would forever be hidden unless it was posted for all to see"

This quote woke me abit, as I'm fond of taking quite a few photos myself on certain long solo trips.

so maybe its time to breath a new life into this old blog again?...or maybe snake in some moments in office where my staring contest with my spreadsheets needed a break .....before I literary break the computer....hulk smash???

Therefore, time to open up the old folders and get those nice pics out....Bluz out....

BIRTHDAY PRESENT ON ROUTE...:)

Ooh ooh....Bloody great news, received a message from my colleague who went back Japan, my birthday present is coming.......

This my friend is a one adult entry ticket into the legendary GHIBLI MUSEUM.. Created by director Hayao Miyazaki..with animes like totoro and princess mononoke

Specially asked my ccolleague to help me buy just in case it was sold out when I reach Japan. To be honest, my whole trip highlight would be a visit to this place, and its on my actual birthday that I actually timed my visit, call me a otaku then...the ticket is now on route via mail... Muhahaha

Another One Off The List

Yet another item to cross off my pre departure checklist. All thanks to my colleague and my constant whining and nagging. I'm able to borrow his universal travel power plug..... That's another 10 dollars saved..... :)

Fun fact, someone told me that because Japan is running at lowet voltage, you are not able to die by electrocution. This is just here say cause I know for a fact, its not the voltage that kills but the ampere.

Talking about Japanese voltage, bring back memories of those previous game consoles which came with a additional transformer, those black bricks that were used to convert our local voltage of 240v to a lower 110v used by the consoles.

Anyway, less than a month left. Can't wait.....

The Final Stretch . . . .:)

In exactly one month. . . or this time next month, in will be on the plane towards Tokyo. It has been a long wait.

Only a few items left on my checklist. Hope there's no sudden curve ball thrown at the last min.

That's the thing about planning. Things will always go wrong, that's what Mr Murphy said anyway. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy's_law

But if all goes to plan I quote from a movie
"I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER NICELY"

Backdate 1 - How it all began

November 2012.
If I remember correct it was during evening while I was channel surfing when the scoot advertisement were blasting in almost all the stations. Curious, I went online to check it out. The front page was showing promo flights to Japan Tokyo. . and that was when the travel bug bit me. . . .

Not sure if its only me or my generation, where unlike today's teens. We were madly into J-Culture. Jpop, anime's were all the rage. . Japan has always fascinated me.

Back to topic. Travel bug had bitten me and I couldn't stop thinking about the idea of finally visiting Japan. For next next week or so I was surfing tru the different budget airline websites and travel blogs for info. I had decided to make my next birthday gift to myself a dream trip to Japan Tokyo.

After all the info gathered, I compiled it into a single matrix in excel. Price, date of flight, which airport, hanada or narita, and what time it landed. Had even considered taking a bus to KL then fly via AirAsia, in the end, scoot seems a better choice. On the day of Nov 04 2012, I've took the first step of no return . . . .and book the return flight from SG to Japan Tokyo narita OK international airport. . . TBC

A brand new post

Almost a decade since I last tried writing a blog.

This blog is dedicated to the start to end leading to what I feel is a trip of my life. . Tokyo Japan. .

Almost seem like yesterday that I finally decided that I had waited enuff watching others around me zipping off to their dream destination while I stand by the sidelines consistently bugging them for souvenirs. . . .my time is about to arrive.
